when u stuff yourself silly, u know it when u're going to burst... that was exactly how i felt most of my tablemates felt yesterday.

just reward for an afternoon of painting banners. my class met at the dragon gate restaurant at harbour front centre and sat down for a gorgeous unlimited course buffet of chinese cuisine.

it was simply sublime, awesome and mouth watering, lipsmacking dishes being served up all the time, it was totally enjoyable. the food of considerable quality, the ambience a little strange, it was a totally smashing experience i'll find hard to forget.

11 of us, from 1sg4, met for dinner yesterday. while other classes organise outings n lan sessions, my class decides to go out for a fine meal. this wasn't any new idea, we had already toyed w the idea of makaning together since b4 promos. there hasn't been a time when we had actually gone out together, so this was as a good an opportunity as any other. the buffet cost 19.80 +++ . we ended up paying about 24.20 person after all the xtra charges.

we ate to our hearts content, initially all chatty and lively, vibrant and awake, we ate, talked, laughed, joked. we were the only ones in the restaurant apart from another table on alacarte course. we knew it coz they had lobsters and we didn't. wellz, never the less, there was still lots of prawns, meat, duck, fish to choose from. we had about 4-5 of the steamed fishes, 3 servings of crab, a serving of prawn and countless servings of beef... we didn't have any rice at all. we had tea and iced water to accompany our meal. we also started off w a bowl of sharks' fin each and ended off with a fine bowl of dessert which was perhaps just a little too coconutty for some of us.

we joked abt the waitress who had a weird way of saying ' excuse me', the manager who stood at the side, looking on somewhat anxiously at the way we were ordering. we were there to eat to our hearts content and moneys' worth and that was what we did, precisely. we had 47 dishes to choose from and we picked out just about 20 odd dishes from tt list.

mr how played his part too. he gave us a small talk on ettiquette and advice on how not to behave like babarians in public. he was so funny, concerned abt us goingout to eat in public and making a fool of our selves... haha! we all laughed like crazy thinking back on his words... his advice ranged from not saying stupid things in public and also not gorging ourselves crazy but instead sampling the food and taking in as a wide a range as possible... we did take his advice.

ashley and i took the same bus home. we were so full we didn't talk on the bus but instead dozed off to sleep super quick.

and this morning, i took it upon myself to sleep in a little bit. attended only the last period of sch, the 2nd period of the double chinese period. tt felt good, packed my table finally and it's looking good. now, just the open house stuff left to handle... glad i've managed to update my blog so extensively today.
