i think i must have been really desperate to get out of the house or something... or i just wanted to go out and wanted to find people to go with. so i called up my class on thursday and arranged to claim our three free hours of karaoke at party world at orchard.

we met after lunch. however, it wasn't full attendence. out of the 14 who were supposed to be there. only 8 from my class turned up, the others were busy;at dentist appointment, at chalet, having training, and personal commitements. nevertheless, we proceeded. the funny thing abt group outings is tt u'll never get things the way you plan it. we were all supposed to meet at orchard mrt but instead we all eventually congregated outside party world, which also happens to be opposite takashimaya.

it was wesley's birthday on friday. i'm a whole year and a month older than him. wesley was turning 17 and he was pretty reluctant to come along coz he tot that the guys would just turn on him and give it to him. tt meaning strip him and give him a nice birthday present. tt's y he was so scared. but i guess for him, there wasn't much for him to be scared about.

it turned out to be a very boring singing session. some people lke to chinese songs while others prefer english songs. so with this kinda differences, it was qutie inevitable tt some of us got bored. and we were all pretty brainless, coz what we chose was a whole lot of english songs followed by a whole lot of chinese songs. so with this kinda arrangement, we'll spend an hour on english songs and the next hour on chinese songs. i think it also got into us. three karaoke sessions in slightly over a month was more than enough. more like singing saturation. sighz... i think the third session was the worst. the first was the best.

i was quite bored as well and it reached a point where john, wesley and i decided to take a walk around the hmv building. we walked around looked at some stuff, got something to eat before getting back to the room. that was about 45 minutes tt we took and they were still on the chinese songs segment. truely boring,really a big turnoff... well, i think it'll be a long time before we get down karaoking again. possibly we need a months' break before returning to it.

oh yah, besides, it's also quite expensive. if u're paying about 6 dollars for about each session, it's not that very worth it as well. the soft drinks alone cost about 5.50. so we all decided to have beer instead. it worked out to be cheaper per person for teh beer. the beer was tiger but it was also a lilttle wasted because not everyone knew how to drink. i was quite bored and a little sianz so i managed to finish my mug. hmm... first time having beer in public on my own. i must try the other kinds of beer, not only tiger. i heard heneiken is not bad as well... will see about tt.. this kind of things need lots of control also.
