it took a fair bit of persuasion and personal self-assessment before i decided to go along with the rest. there were 6 of us, 2 girls and 4 guys. they had decided to go to SOS,sultan of swing, at central mall, near clarke quay. since it was free and i didn't have to buy drinks when i was in there, i decided to go along and see what was it about clubbing that had the regular club-goers going back for more.

we took a bus to suntec city from orchard and intsead of taking a taxi from there, decided to walk to central mall at my suggestion. i tot tt it would be a very cool idea coz it was at night and it would be a relaxing walk. the problem was tt it was also very humid and after 20 plus minutes of walking, we finally got there. it was tt humid,by the time we were there, everyone was already pretty much soaked. the breeze was coming in but it was certainly no match for the deadweigth humidity tt was descending on us.

i have no problems getting into clubs. firstly, the way i dressed was pretty formal and it surprised a few people when they saw me in tt attire. i almost think i give the impression tt i'm a most sloppy dresser and it's criminal for me to be dressed properly. with fake id's and all, it wasn't too difficult for the rest to get in as well. i certainly gave the bouncers e impression tt i was a first timer when i held my bus pass in my hand and was prepared to pass it onto to one of them. haha, and i was so surprised when i walked past 4 of them without their batting of an eyelid.

we were all in at about 8.30pm, very early in the world of clubbing. the party, i learned, only starts at about 9.30 onwards. so it was still very cool , the aircon was a huge relief from the increasingly unbearable humidty tt was plaquing me. and tt place was huge. i wondered if anyone had fallen off the steps before because the place was so dimly lit tt i treaded cautiously, for fear of putting my foot wrongly and ending up in hospital. and there were more than one set of steps.

i shared locker with ashley and we all planned to make our way out of the place at 10.30pm. wesley and i were just takin in everything. wes was pretty awed by the scene. i mean, neither of us have been clubbing so to see the people around dressed so 'differently' , more like 'scantily, certainly wasn't a common sight.

the whole place started to fill up and i spent the first part of the hour with the rest of the group. they knew some others, like jolin, our first 3 months (slack)class rep and her friend. so peggy, zhang hui, ashley, wesley, and i, (si wei absconded) took a little area and sat around. so there was no action yet, except tt the place was getting increasinly smoky. people all aroud us were lighting up. and i was moving about constantly to avoid getting smoke blown right into my face. that's where peer pressure comes in. people share packs of cigs and they just pass around. they encourage you to try, so it's up to you to say NO.

wes was treated to a tequila shot by ashely. ashely's birthday drink for wesley. it was a shot of tequila, the cup was coated with salt crystal, with a fresh slice of lemon just for taste. wes had two-thirds of it and i helped him to finish up the rest. it really tasted like bad bad ginseng, just super sour and bitter. grrr.. the taste after tt was a little odd, thus the lemon. apparently, drinks , all drinks at sos are very cheap. they are cheap when compared to the drinks at other clubs. well, for me, that was all the drinks(alcoholic) i was gettting for the night. i had water for the rest of the night.
