it was very very fun yesterday. haha...
i was with my class signing karaoke at party world at orchard. this was their second time there and i wasn't there the first time. so when i was there, they surely made it a very memorable experience for me.
we sang like crazy, there was a heavy dose of both english and chinese songs. unfortunately for me, i'm still at the bottom of the learning curve for chinese songs so i was pretty lost during the prolonged chinese songs segment. of course, i was very enthusiastic when it came to singing english songs but sadly since my classmates dont' exactly share my love for love songs, i had many a song cut short by the push of the button fast-forwarding it to the next song.
we were there for 3 hours, it cost us about 106 dollars, plus some snacks and drinks for everyone. i tried to mix rum with ice lemon tea, and it certainly doesn't mix at all. the 3 to 6 session was very good, we were the only sch group there, all 11 of us. this isn't the whole class. well, next time, when we have the whole class there, it'll prove to be even more fun.
then the rest, minus the girls, decided to make it more memorable for me. they stripped me. imagine7 guys coming down on you, simply restricting your body movement. manz, i couldn't move at all... i was stripped 4 times. the first 2 time was just removing my shirt and the next 2 was inclusive of much more... i'm traumatised. i've announced tt the karaoke session will be my FIRST and LAst... so... yah.
but really yesterday, it was the first time i think i really enjoyed myself after the exams. it was really a release for me. being able to scream into the microphone, outshout jeremy in our hokkien shouts to acclaim the other singers... but really, karaoke is in appreciation of all kinds of singers, good and bad.. as for me.. i'm a (fill in the blanks) singer. y don't u help me decide.
and about my little declaration here, maybe i don't mean it after all... i would love to do it again,minus the stripping segment. we've decided to go again after the project work oral presentations end next thursday.
