the camp i attended was a kids adventure at seletar country club for it's members... mr gurmit singh is a member there and he was the one incharge. in all, there were 5 lifeguards and 4 drama club members... our job: to make sure the kids have plenty of fun and also learn to develop publicspeaking confidence. ok, the first part was fufilled pretty easily. as for the speaking part.. we hardly did anything...

onto the camp.. a 2 day one night thingie.. met the kids, they got their groups.. organised their games. on the first morning, i was out on the field helping to facilitate the frisbee game and at the same time got eaten alive by the mosqitoes. unfortunately, there was where the kids were supposed to sleep the very same night. thankfully, i was in the pool for the afternoon, doing the water basketball game. tt was more fun... haha.. of course, the water's preferred. one thing about the camp has got to be the food. we spent plenty of time eating, and there was a buffet for each of our meals, we had our main meals and morning breaka and afternoon tea as well.. wah.. good life man! i wonder how much the kids paid for this camp... but as helpers, we were paid to help out... not too bad.. for their own free time, the kids could be found serving the net, playing cs games in their games room, watching tv... playing arcade, and playing pool as well as playing table tennis.. now u noe what sorta camp we had.. it was so relaxed manz!

we had a night walk... this small girl natalie held onto my hand tru out our night walk. nutting much to me, but for someone scared of the dark, it was a pretty big deal to her.. our night walk was indeed surrounded by greenery, we walked the golf course.. it was a short walk about half and hour, but during tt time, she stuck super close to me and held my hand for certain periods of time. tt didn't go unnoticed. when we were back and waiting for the other groups to return, we headed to the games room for table tennis. one of the guys asked me if i have a girlfriend. i was like "?" how come out of the blue.. then they asked me if she was from this camp.. i was like" No..." before i could say anything else... someone else butted in.. " is natalie your girlfriend"... kids.

one of the drama guys had this insatiable 'hatred' for kids but he was at the camp.. he was just as puzzled as the rest of us.. we don't quite understand how come he was there... but he did fine.. just like the rest of us... he was like.. 'i hate kids'..and so on and so on..

bedtime was most interesting... it was a most exhausting time for all of us.. we did sentry duty in parts... the girls did the first part while the guys were to do the latter section, from 2 am till 6 am.. at first we were in the cafe playing uno when we saw the kids starting to stream towards the toilet. u see, country club toilets have class and they're soo cooling and having everything... literallly ready to be slept in .. well, the kids tot tt way n were eager to go enjoy the cool of the aircon. we had to chase them back to their stuffy tents n we had to check on them to make sure they were sleeping. standing directly outside the entrance to a tent would bring about absolute silence.. but moving away from it would bring back the chatter from its occupants..

when the kids couldn't sleep, they ran around. gurmit singh, tt's what the kids called him, first name basis. he made them run, mostly guys, around the carpark when they refused to sleep. after tt, he allowed them to play in the playground coz he couldn't do anything else. but finally, he made them sleep or else they would have to call their parents to pick them up at 2.30am in the morning... not soemthing they wanted very badly, so they went to their tents, to lie down if not to sleep.

my own sleeping experience was plenty. i wound up sleeping in the comfy toilet, in the open area near the camping grounds, at the pool side, and in the cafe.. in order... it wasn't enough n the next day found me very tired. but all in all,it was great because the food was great and the kids were great fun.
oh by the way, i was not wei ze to them. i was wizard instead.
