the last samurai is an absolute must watch!
it really speaks on the cultures and values of honour, commitement, loyalty and perseverence, all of which are sadly missing in the generation of today. today, what we see in great abundance is the sad sad degradation of the human being. we are now exposed to the greed, lust, and back-stabbbing nature as we see it on tv and around us.
tom cruise stars in this show. but he's quite out -of-point actually. what is a white man doing in japan in 1876? he definitely wouldn't have joined the samurai. that is purely nonsense. having a white man as a samurai would have been the greatest irony. but what i treasure most is the poignant fighting scenes and the necessary punctuation where decisions pertaining to life and death are made.. where the oceans of emotional confusion engulf the characters in the movie. it really touches me. the soft tender love, is most amazing. love, should not all be about sex and violence or whatever that sells as exciting nowadays... i applaud The Last Samurai...

i also wanna find out more about the last samurai as much as i can. it's gonna be so interesting. the japanese are a brave and bold people. i've been blinded by their WWII atrocities and have been since blinded to the other side of their culture. i hope to change that.

i spoke to the class today. pity it had to be with my form tutor in the class. although the content of whatever i said was not offensive in anyway, it would have been better if he weren't in the room. anyhow, i'm glad i got a chance to say my peace.

allow me some space for elaboration: when i mentioned putting first things first, i meant putting things that we consider to be important, the most important. there shouldn't be a big problem identifying that, but we must ensure that our actions and our ways will be for the common benefit towards this cause we all share. the A levels is by no means an easy hurdle. and it will not be easy. putting thigns into perspective, all our effort this year that goes into preparation for this Exam will help each and everyone of us to take a BIG STEP towards our destined futures. we will go places, but where? where do u want to go? do u want to make it big? do you want to be in your favourite course? if u want it, if u wish for it.. stop dreaming and get moving! talking isn't going to change anything. but working together as a class can help us all change quite a lot of things.

next: Be proactive. i'm glad the msg did get tru. i shadn't say more. but i do hope for a sustained effort by all.

a note abt certain adulations in recent times: i'm just trying my best to do my part in this world where alot of things do exist. i try my best in all i do and i want to give my best as well.. nothing more to be said. if u can, just go out there and make a difference.
