during gp on tuesday, my teacher lauched into a discussion that got me thinking and i am, as a result, very thankful for that boost and thrust of enlightenment.

truely, the past few days have been quite a haze. i'm feeling strangely out of touch and just needed some form of conviction to believe in certain areas. perhaps it has been the constant talk of the party that ashley organised and all the comings and goings that it came w, the talk of the party, and the unavoidable scandals. much of the talk just gave me a feeling of uneasiness, perhaps just too much. it's interesting to hear about it, but i guess i had had enuff.

the topic was on our societal practice of marriage. marriage is an institution, and it is understood to be for eternity, or is it? we see so many interesting reports pertaining to sex. nowadays, u hear abt certain singaporean men flocking to batam for sex, certain local women going through periods of agony and guilt having to deal w abortions, sexual assualts and so forth. is this the ideal preparation leading up to marriage? sex is to be associated w marriage, but certain couples in our local universities are getting it on, on campus. anything pleasurable done out of marriage is great fun. but will that feeling be the same in a marriage years later? i can't answer that. but what it calls for youngsters to be more careful and more alert and simply more aware of themselves. we must take utmost care to enjoy ourselves, for the rest of ourlives. let us not let a few moments of weaknesses cause a lifetime of worry and regret.
