i don't believe that singaporean schools will stifle ur imagination, creativity or ur innovative spirit. what does exist in our schools here is a lack of belief in ourselves and this stems very much from the participants of the school system. if u want to make it the way it's supposed to sound, then, u will have it that way.

in regards to what i'm saying, i'm just talking about the differentiation of teaching methods that we are supposed to and that we expose ourselves to. the study environment overseas does allow alot of leeway and alot of freedom for self expression. it is also up to singaporeans to make up their mind how they want things to be.

as a student, i may not be exposed to the rigidity of the system and the probable unfairness of it. we have to compare don't we, all the time, it's a singaporean trait. and for that, we have countless pple denouncing our system here. there is some good in it, if u'll just open ur eyes and look around.

perhaps as an adult, i will start to see for myself the dictatorial style of operation adopted by our local authorities. but in my opinion, we are opening up already. and the governments of the future cannot afford to ignore the feeling of the masses esp when such views are voiced out. y not just take this chance, as our society undergoes it's own revolution of sorts, and mold our futures and our destinies the way we wish? independence? u don't always have to fight the red tape.
