after yesterday's swimming, had badminton marathon today, 2 hours, ok, wasn't that very long, but still 120 minutes is quite long isn't it? now, every sinew of my body, my back esp is aching, owww.. feel like i need a really good back massage, long and hard. that'll be shiok sia. brought bryan to play w wei xuan and siti, have to cut down on unforced errors in order to beat weixuan. but i guess my brother did enjoy his game, he always likes playing against older people, just the thing he needs, at the end of the 2 hrs, he was still asking to play longer; he's aching too i'm pretty sure.

arsenal won, 4-2, well, henry slotted in a hattrick, of which i think his second goal was pure masterclass. still hoping to see them lose this season, it will come. :P

geylang. it's heavenly. for the sustenance it gives us, the variety we are given, wow. anyway, had dinner in the area and it was great, wonderful satay, lovely oyster, solid fishball noodles, savory indian rojak, all that and even more, my stomach cannot get any bigger. i was truly stuffed after dinner ended. the walk tru the back streets of geylang and joo chiat showed me how life still goes on in singapore. while we might feel tt unfeelingness and lack of consideration are common characteristics associated with singaporeans nowadays, it's really great to see service w a smile being exhibited by the hardworking and zesty hawkers i met today. dont' just think the best can be obtained in orchard road. orchard road, can be said to be just a commercialised and rather unreal shadow of what singaporeans are capable of. in the area of service, the personal touch is tt impt, and we must realise that the extremes of society must work together and accept each other in order to live harmoniously. that is possible, provided we put away all our airs.

my point tonight is, i guess, just look at it, we can really be what we hope to be. with all the positive ideals in mind, we just need to strive a little more to attain our ideal. let us work to develop a gracious and courteous society, that seeks to serve itself as to be served.
