i have been spending the holidays in school.

and today, for the second time, it was for studies and not for swimming. still remember attending the gp lesson which was so poorly attended. back to sch, it was for a marathon workday typical physics crashcourse, it was refreshing, and there are some sections i have to work on. j1 topics seems so easy now, looking at what we have to do in j2. but isn't it so?

our past experiences seem so easy and so conquerable when we look back now. there are many out there who will say that their psle and o levels seem so distant and were really nothing to get worried over, having gotten over them. likewise, the post a level students will not have as much anxiety over the a's as we do right now.

i suppose it is about looking at every experience individually. for the supposedly bigger events in our lives, you would have thought that it would be so difficult because it really does seem larger than life. but as ur train, the one u direct and drive draws away from the event, it just gets smaller and smaller, disappearing into the background. learning to deal with any event, is an asset. learning to deal with bigger events, is an even bigger asset. no task is too big for you.

some people have gone out of singapore to meet the less priviledged from other countries. in our neighbouring countries, for instance our indonesian friends, there are many things that separate us from them. we are so near, barely kilometres apart, but we lead almost completely different lives. how interesting it would be if we had a role switch.. if we exchanged our highly charged , fast moving, result oriented lively endeavours for their idyllic, lazy and laid back life style.. would we surivive?

it's easy to say no, you'll never know till you try.

more physics lessons beckon, got my ns medical next week, more swimming training. competition on sunday.
