that was the first thing i heard from one of the instructors as the van came around to pick us and the equipment to head back to rasa sentosa. i knew we were at the wrong beach already.

i was at sentosa all of yesterday morning and if u consider(u means a guy) a good experience as solid babe viewing, then i was most certainly in the wrong place at the wrong time. i was at sunset bay;the action is at palawan beach. i was there in the morning; the hottest action is in the afternoon. so, truly, an opportunity missed. but i did not miss out a chance on making some new friends, fellow lifeguards at tt, those on the job, with the interest.

i was in the hut right in front of the volleyball nets, there wasn't much action apart from a group of caucasions who were not bad. i was paired w ken, an instructor from fitness innovation, the company organising this anti-drug abuse activity for these lower sec kids who were out to explore sentosa by going to as many checkpoints as possible. i was there coz they had to use a raft ( one tt the both of us built for them) and paddle across to a small atoll and get some clues. it was uneventful, all proved competent so no trouble was to be found.

i got talking w herman, friendly guy who chatted w me... e both of us standing in the blazing sun as if it were the most common thing to do. it's nice to talk to such pple and exchange some lessons about lifeguarding as a profession. we all agree it's not easy, but the main thing is to be calm under all circumstances, lose ur cool, lose ur head.. u will be a liability.

too bad i couldn't stay longer, must hope to revisit sentosa again, w company hopefully.
