14 oct. a day of double celebrations.

it was the last day i would don the uniform officially as a student of acjc. it was a day to remember, a day to look back upon in the future, a day where my uniformed academic education comes to an end. my education in the world will still continue, and i'm very sure these people around me will continue to be part of this process, and hopefully till the end where it shall never end.

the day started with a service in school. about 2 hours of singing and speeches and it was off to a little reception at the foyer, where people were defininitely more interested in the people than the food. now that's a change from the normal behaviour of people, a good one at that, but then again, armed with the notion that we wouldn't be seeing each other as students again does make it quite urgent in itself. 2 hours of frenzied phototaking, u taking with people and u taking people. i was quite possibly the only person moving around with a camera phone that went 'ka-ching' everytime, so it stood out a bit there. the qualities not the best, but it's better than nothing. i pretty much realised that i do know quite a number of people in school. moving around on a daily basis, u can only meet so many. but, yesterday was a summation in itself, and it was pleasant. my thirteen years of education, 10 in catholic mission schools and another 3 in a methodist institution, has come to an end.

my form tutor, my last ever, treated us to half a lunch at Genghis Khan. the spread was decent, no doubt, but i felt we could have been better off in another restaurant. anyhow, it's all about trying and testing, we'll always find certain things undesirable. haha, my mates(class) did surprise me when i was busy collecting money at the end of the dinner. i reached under the table to retrieve something from my bag and they broke into a 'hp' melody. hahaz. pleasantz.

k-box was a rough ride. it started off quite tamely. i was initially quite quiet, coz of the chinese songs tt i couldn't relate to. but shao, siwei and fiona can sing chinese songs quite well. kudos to them, and jason nice try too. then the english segment came. because i had to leave early, i was determined to enjoy myself to the fullest. so i started by swaying in my seat, singing in my 'zao-xia' voice, trying to imitate husky singing styles, going for high pitched cannot be reached levels, or just simply trying to be funny. haiz, i saw everyone seated there looking a tad bit bored, had to do something to change that. in fact, it would have been understandable if a couple of them had gone to sleep. k-king can be more fun. if i had stayed on longer, it'd have been even more fun with the rest. yeah, and well, as if on cue, ' hp' started playing on the stereo system. i was a bit high at that time, (on water) so i got everyone to their feet and sing along. it gets a bit paiseh when everyone else is singing for you. so everybody got to their feet and thinking back now, i kinda instigated my own demise. ac boys, being AC boys, did their thing, and i'm left with torrid memories of their savage and animalistic exhortions and ripping actions. i left k-box with jason and john; a button missing from my pants, my hair in a greater mess than ever and somewhat physically depleted. what a struggle...

went to the temple and my grandma's place. said my prayers and went off for dinner with my family. for some reason, the biggest eater in the family, for i've surpassed my dad in that respect, wasn't able to gobble down his food for some reason; feel that it was the lunch, too colourful a mix. what a day... what a day..

and the battle continues, a month and a half remains for me to shape my destiny for the immediate future... and i'm with all those who go into this battle. be well.
