Picked up a pair of specs for the army.. looking into my slightly screwed up left ankle. treatment is complete, the rest of the recovery is up to me to rest my ankle and give it the rest it needs. It's untimely, definitely not nice to get it just a couple of weeks before enlistment. i'm looking forward to bmt.. also preparing myself for it and going into mental preparation for it.

Had a smashing time out with vivian yesterday. We went kite-flying at marina south and spent much of the afternoon there.We had egg mayo sandwiches, tau kwa from redhill which was watery by the time we opened up the package and some dua bei desert. Hot as the afternoon heat was, there were also other groups flying kites on the field; students running around crazily trying to get their kites up. it was so funny watching them zoom around,they must have covered some 2 plus km trying to get their kite up. in contrast, vivian n i were pretty calm.. walking around and even sitting when we got tired. our kite got a total fly time of 2 hours plus. my first time flying kite in about 10 years, shiok man!

it's my final weekend and it's time for friends and family. i'm spending a bit more, but that shouldn't be a major problem.
