2 outfield trips, one to tekong, another to marsiling. i'm learning as i go and i'm seeing alot of things. i didn't know singapore had so much greenery, nor did i know that we had the basic training areas. These places will prepare us for the actual places overseas in thailand and brunei.

life now is really almost all about the army. it is difficult to bring in anything else. the army demands (ocs) absolute attention. even for those precious few hours we book out, it is spent getting resupplies for the following week in camp. If not, there are always the assignments or essays to complete. In camp itself, life is definitely getting very hectic. it is so easy to go into a diz and lose yourself. The instructors are definitely stepping up the standards and we are getting punished at every corner. of course they have their reasons and it is not as if i don't understand why they are doing things in a certain way. what they are doing, sending us running around, push-ups, situps, crunches, flutter kicks, change parades etc will bring the wing together faster and more cohesively. it is in the dire circumstances when you realise you have to depend on the ones next to you. no ignoring that.

army life is about little personal time. i shall not spend time griping. it is commonplace for so many other young men serving the nation, 2 years of our time.
i would like to maintain my social life. this is when i need my family even more. in ocs, you make things happen. can i make it happen? :)
