i have mixed feelings as i blog today. this is now week eleven of my time in ocs, another 3 weeks to the end of service term and it's on to even more interesting training for the professional term.

it is really wonderful to have so many friends around. i never imagined that there would be so many acsians from acjc hoarding arnd in ocs, but, tata, i was proven wrong. it is them who have made my stay in ocs more enjoyable, livable and memorable. the way we share, talk, help each other and look out for each other is just amazing. at this point in time, i would like to add that my dear lao-jiao ocs oct joses will not be continuing with the course. it was very sudden, the news and the way he had to deal with the condition of having a slipped disc. we were all having a heck of a time and just one monday morning, he experiences severe back pain n gets an x-ray done, only to reveal a slipped disc. he and i have stuck in thru so long; from the start, getting into each others bunks, talking and sharing, making the pain of adapting to ocs life easier to sharing, telling each other to ' take care', giving the much needed encouragement to just push on and complete the phletora of tasks tt come our way each day.

he is not the only one. there have been another 3 others who have ooc ( out of course) due to medical reasons. be it back injury, knee injury, dislocated shoulder, it is plain that there are a lot of pitfalls tt threaten to take us out. i pray that all will be fine for the rest of the course, and that our bodies will hold up as we push on to be fine officers.

having said that, there's this nagging back pain i'm feeling. it came on after the 16 click route march which was on top of the platoon field camp at marsiling. i hope to rest it and see how it recovers. if not, i'll be seeking medical help.
