some alterations to 29th, Wing Com calls for me and has this for me.'I'll let you go thailand and you'll get to commission with the rest of them. You will follow us as an observer and lead one of the last 2 missions when we come back to s'pore. This is what you need. You need to let your parents know and they must agree ( of course they will). Next, the MO must certify you fit to go.' 'As an observer, your attire will be water bag and jockey cap.

When ur wing commander says this to you, this feeling of exhilaration just sweeps you. Speechless, ecstatic. Describe every positive feeling, i felt just that, exactly.

The events leading up to this episode in wing com's office were unprecedented. The admin clerk was getting ready to send up my ooc report to OCS HQ.One of the fellows had read my copy of the report which i had pinned in my bunk and spotted the mistake in the heading. it read ooc service term instead of pro term. That mistake was unchanged. LTA Kal didn't have the soft copy cause wing com had made some changes to the original and was not around at that moment. LTA Kal and i proceeded to make the changes in the instructors office. He was just about done when, without saving the docu, kicked the power plug to his com. I ended up typing it out again. With all these delays,the clerk was quite unable to do his job. I hurried off, obtained my pc's signature and found wing com. He looked at me, 'wait, don't sign it first' and the above-mentioned episode took place.

Friday morning saw me at the medical centre, again! the physio wasn't in so it was arranged for me to head to nee soon for my physio session. my status on this course depended heavily on the physio's assessment and it was needless to say i had to convince the physio i could manage on my own. I didn't have to worry. She (pretty attractice btw) was very warm and friendly and the vibes i got from her was that, no worries, you'll be off to thailand and stay on course. I enjoyed the physio session v much, although she 'killed' me when she stretched my muscles,long disused and unused to motion. i lay on the treatment table, grimacing in pain, face contorted. I have from her a list of exercises that i'll do religiously everyday in Crescendo.Verification from the MO was chop-chop and i was cleared at 1230pm, 30th December 05. Bag-packing was a rushed job no doubt, but would i have even dared to dream about it just a day ago?

I am very grateful to be given the chance to finish the course. i am determined to make Crescendo count and learn alot from it. I am fully prepared to do any job there is, anyway i can help, especially on the administration side. Through this whole episode, i have seen, more clearly than ever the way administration works and the exceptions that can be made.

I'm blessed and very fortunate. Thai-bound, arm-believable.
