man, it's four weeks left to commissioning...

they are doing up this bravo wing dvd that all of us will get to keep for life. in it, they will have a lot of personalised content that only us cadets and officers perhaps will understand and can relate to. i have got a lot of aliases, no thanks to my 'bo seng' looks and the creativity of my platoon mates. they are so wonderful in their imagination and my nicknames have stuck, changing, indeed changing with the times. nicks like 'bo seng', 'slow seng', 'turbo seng', 'lobo seng'... are just some.

i'm going to be commissioning. i've just completed my last mission, ex panther. proud to be handled the reins to this mission, the only regret is that it could have been better. it can always be better. there are ways to improve, always. it wasn't exactly perfect as cadets on their final mission in ocs, after 9 months of hard training and toughening, should be performing. but it was the last and we gave it what we had. maybe we weren't as capable, maybe we r not as able, but i think everyone is just eager to leave. Time is a telling factor and 38 weeks on course is not that easy to handle.

A defining moment will be the sword presentation a week to commissioning. It speaks for itself and it is one of the ceremonies we have to partake as we prepapre to receive our bars on the parade square.

a word of caution is to enjoy the time and also be mindful that your very actions ( that of stupidity) can still get you into the deepest quagmires.

nonetheless, i'm eager to commission and keen to see the last month in ocs to its fullest.

wizzing away on 1:02 PM
