it's been a good 2 weeks since commissioning.. the life of an officer seems easy to live but it is one that actually takes time to reckon with and adapt to. To the innocent bystander, we have spent 9 months training to be an officer. The expectant view is that you should have no problems being an officer the moment u commission.

The officer is not one of the guys anymore. He can't, much as he desires. In a way, he leads a slightly more lonely life and people he can really turn tofor work-related issues are other officers. yes, there is the learning curve, but soon, we'll have to outgrow that and cope with ourselves.

I know all who commissioned on 11th march aren't finding it super easy. For others, it is harder. We are all grappling with our new roles and like lost sheep, are finding out place in the organisation.

All YSLs, come fore and brace thyselves. The journey has just begun and we will take to it. Bring on the challenges.
