I have been enjoying life recently. It's not that i've done something to change the QOL of others or myself. It's good to pack my timetable and busy myself. Getting out to meet people, getting the basics from people; the communication, the understanding. Now that's satisfying. I don't envision this world to be communicated tru a phone, a screen. If advanced entertainment & communication has made everyone chary of person-to-person interaction, it is saddening.

Nescience is achieved through a presumptuous nature adopted through misconstrued notions. Never think you are too old or experienced to learn sth. Sadly, this is what a lot of young people today are getting afflicted by, way too early. If older people r stagnated at a certain level of acceptance, that is understandable, ( read, not forgivable). For the young to refuse to change or take on new information, it becomes very tragic.

A bit more personal: The triathlon that alan, regina & myself have been preparing for has finally taken place. We surprised ourselves with a consistent performance that placed us at the top of our category. It was a sprint, as the label suggested, and we took ourselves to the limit: my breastroke swim was a hurried diversion from the oft accepted free due to the trying conditions(horrid murky waters), alan wheeled himself to the limit and proceeded to expulse fluids, regina ran to the point of bearing no recognition. So we swam, cycled & ran, to the limits, and back, and we conquered. It was most surprising victory, a truely nice feeling. So perhaps, RAW may make a comeback next year... i'm certainly keen on that.

A marathon cycling expedition was undertaken on thursday that covered the soils of M'sia & S'pore. I just realised i'm liable for overseas leave in such an event. Regina, Tse Yin & myself embarked on a day of cycling, never imagining the events that unfolded. A most beautiful day with a lovely strong sun beating down on the skin, it was accentuated by the numerous encounters we had with all these people;saying hellos to all these people and acknowledging all we bumped into. We traversed Pengerang( penrengang?), and while it was admittedly boring, the school children we encountered made it pretty positive an experience. I had a spill; hurtling through the air, the twisted momentum causing the bike to balk left, my body lifted from beneath. "oh s***" were the words that ran through my head as i went up n landed, followed by the crunching landing of my bike on my legs. I was lucky, once again, not to break anything. I have a few grazes on my palms & left knee as trophies. This will take a while to recover. In spite of our fatiuge n the 'mini-drama', our trio managed to make it all the way home from changi to bukit timah. We had a really good dinner at bukit timah to top it off. The tenacity & fighting spirit displayed by the girls is really admirable. When we wanted to give up, the mind refused to give in & as a group, we continued. I think we can attempt another cross island ride, time permitting~. :)

Take care & be well. ~
