The old man stuck out his false teeth, withdrew them and stuck 'em out again. The little girl who was the audience to this strange display was initially fascinated. The old man continued with his performance and the girl looked to her mum, by now wearing a worried look. Must have been quite a bus ride for her.

A lady who knew the employees at the barber shop provided me with just evidence that 25 000 words ( women's average rate of words/day) is indeed possible. Her incessant chatter was filled the cosy barbershop. In contrast, the male employees grunted in response, worthy of that 10 000 ballpark figure ( men's average rate of words/day) It would have been more interesting for me if only i understood tamil.

The elderly man tottered as the bus lurched forward. A fellow passenger reached forward and grabbed his arm, patted his seat and got him seated. A helping hand, a willing smile. An indian and a chinese.
