Every post has been about improvements. This one is no different.

Bao's now at the Ang Mo Kio Thye Hua Kwan Hospital Ward 2. He is been placed in a special padded room which allows him freedom to move without any real risk of self-inflicted injury.

While he is still on a 'mashed' diet, a lot of improvements have been recorded. Alan & I helped Bao to his feet and he took three steps. That was a golden moment which gave alan and myself cause for celebration. It eventually took the form of 2 servings of ice-cream from the vendor at the station.

He remembered his gf's name! We didn't have to prompt him and it was even more exciting when he remembered our names without any prior mention. BQ is under a period of close observation from his team of care-givers. He has a physiotherapist, a psyschologist, a speech therapist, among other professional medical care-givers. With 24/7 surveillance, the staff at the TTSH rehabilitation centre will see to his recovery process.

If Bao sees more of his friends, and the more communication there is, there will be no doubt it will aid his recovery. As it is, it is already steady and encouraging. With the help of those who come down to talk to him, it will be an added bonus.

Beware though, because a lack of control still persists, he tends to dig in his fingernails when he holds you. One is unable to underestimate his powerful will to recover; if the force exerted by his clenches is anything to go by.

~Ask if he wants a pillow to support his head, he simply raises his head for you to slip the pillow. He clearly knows what he wants~
